Players with past national team experience, along with top performers of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) leagues, were among those called up by new Filipinas coach Mark Torcaso to an ongoing camp where he hopes to discover local talent worthy of international duty.

Camille Rodriguez, Alisha Del Campo, Charisa Lemoran and Shelah Cadag headline the eight players who had represented the country in the past and are hoping to impress the Australian mentor in a talent identification camp at Rizal Memorial Stadium and PFF National Training Center.

The top three goal scorers of the Women’s League are also among the 28 players called up for the camp. They are La Salle’s Angelica Teves, Tuloy FC’s Isabella Bandoja and Far Eastern University’s Dionesa Tolentin.

Teves has so far scored 16 in the domestic season followed by Bandoja with 15 and Tolentin with 13.

They join eight members of the Filipinas squad, led by captain Hali Long, that took part in the recent Fifa (International Association Football Federation) Women’s World Cup.

Sofia Harrison, Jaclyn Sawicki, Inna Palacios, Kaiya Jota, Maya Alcantara, Anicka Castañeda and Isabella Pasion are the other World Cup veterans in the camp.

Torcaso is hoping to discover some local talent that could take part in the tournaments that will be held in the immediate future, namely the Hangzhou Asian Games and the second round of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The others in camp were Mykaella Abeto, Jonela Albiño, Catherine Calatin, Zoe Hudson, Jade Anna Jalique, Hazel Lustan, Rocelle Mendaño, Natalie Oca, Demely Rollon, Sarahgen Tulabing, Lanie Ortillo, Elaine Pimentel and Regine Rebosura.
