MANILA, Philippines — In his brief vacation to the Philippines, Thirdy Ravena showed up with a new look.

The Japan B.League import, who is currently on a one-week break given to him by San-En, showed up to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) game at Smart Araneta Coliseum in a head-turning outfit as he defied gender norms.

Ravena donned a long black skirt in a quirky ensemble that he topped off with a bandana.  He also flexed his new nail art and accessories.

He was at courtside to watch the game between Akari, where his mother Mozzy is the team manager, and Nxled, where his sister Dani plays, in the second All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday

Ravena has been sidelined for three games due to a concussion but he bared that his “progress is faster than expected. He is hoping to return to action after the NeoPhoenix’s bye week.

The former Ateneo star enjoyed seeing his family’s teams battle each other as Dani’s Nxled took down Akari,  22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-16.

“I had a fun time watching especially since my Mom is with Akari and Dani is playing for Nxled, sp it’s nice to support family,” the San-En import said. “I’m not usually able to do this, so whenever we have the chance we try to go to the games. I’m happy I was able to watch Dani’s game.”

Thirdy said that his parents and Dani also watched his games and Kiefer’s matches in Japan whenever they had a chance to visit

“Of course, when they go to Japan they’re gonna do the same,” he said.

The San-En NeoPhoenix won 12 of their first 14 games to start the 2023-24 B.League season.
