Sam Greenwood – MIDDLESBROUGH vs Leicester City – November 11

Greenwood was so far from goal that his task was less about lifting the ball over the Leicester wall and back down again than striking it with the power and accuracy to find the top corner.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman – BRISTOL CITY vs Middlesbrough – November 25

There was no danger as Gardner-Hickman collected the ball in midfield. Cue a change of direction, a drive forward and a fierce shot curled spectacularly on the run into the top corner.

Jaden Philogene – HULL CITY vs Rotherham United – November 28

Instinct, bravery and the sheer joy of playing football were fused together in Philogene’s backheel after bringing the ball under control with his back to goal and defenders around him.

Massimo Luongo – IPSWICH TOWN vs Millwall – November 28

Six players, 10 passes and a final shot whipped home from the edge of the area. Luongo was involved three times in this mesmerising Ipswich team move across the Portman Road pitch.

Marc Leonard – NORTHAMPTON TOWN vs Burton Albion – November 11

Leonard had only previously scored one goal in his senior career. That comes as a surprise given the power and placement with which he struck this long-range shot into the top corner.

Rob Street – CHELTENHAM TOWN vs Oxford United – November 25

Having followed the ball as it came in from a corner, Street was still on the move as he cushioned it on his instep, then swivelled and struck an unerring shot in one balletic movement.

Stephen Humphrys – Leyton Orient vs WIGAN ATHLETIC – November 25

There is something magical about shots that fizz along the ground through a forest of legs and nestle in the bottom corner of the net. Humphrys managed all of that at the end of a jinking run.

Daniel Udoh — SHREWSBURY TOWN vs Port Vale – November 25

Collecting the ball inside his own half, Udoh surged forward with one aim in mind. Crucially, his pace never wavered as he cut back onto his left foot and lashed in an unstoppable rising shot.

Odin Bailey – Swindon Town v STOCKPORT COUNTY – November 11

Bailey was jockeying for position as this Stockport move progressed before choosing the optimum moment to switch back inside, collect the ball and apply a delightful curling finish.

Arthur Read – COLCHESTER UNITED v Sutton United – November 11

Read switched direction to seat one Sutton defender on his backside and did it again to send two others plus goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis heading for the corner flag before curling home.

David McGoldrick – NOTTS COUNTY v Crawley Town – November 28

A sumptuous one-two with Jodi Jones floating a pinpoint pass into the path of McGoldrick, who did the rest with a delightfully judged first-time finish of a bouncing ball from wide out on the left.

Saidou Khan – Accrington Stanley v SWINDON TOWN – November 28

While there was nothing delicate or intricate about Khan’s goal, it was still a thing of beauty, struck with a ferocity that meant the ball didn’t deviate on its trajectory from boot to the bulging net.
