The local broadcast rights holder of the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) Basketball World Cup has vowed to pull out all the stops to make sure the coverage of the two-week global competition which the country will cohost in late August will reach everyone.

Cignal TV, with OKBet stepping in as a major partner, said it will provide a “very extensive coverage” of the tournament, not only with the broadcast of the four group stage matches in Manila but also the rest of the field in Japan and Indonesia .

Games, including those of Gilas Pilipinas, will be made available on free television and through online platforms that require payment in order for those eager to witness the convergence of some of the world’s best cagers.

This assurance came after reaching a pact with online betting site OKBet to sponsor Cignal’s World Cup broadcast.

Gilas gets major coverage as the Filipinos also look to secure an Olympic berth during the tournament.
