MANILA, Philippines—Following a stunning win on Wednesday over Lyceum, Emilio Aguinaldo notched another win in the NCAA Season 99 men’s basketball tournament after beating Arellano, 79-76.

King Gurtiza paced the Generals with 14 points built on three buckets from beyond the arc to help the Generals rise to a 4-2 record, much to the delight of coach Jerson Cabiltes.

“Actually, all of them can take the shots. Whoever’s open for us, that’s what we’ll look for. Luckily for us, King was open in these situations and he’s always ready for that moment,” said the top coach in Filipino.

“He always practices those extra.”

Helping Gurtiza on the offensive end for EAC are JP Maguliano and Ralph Robin with 19 and 15 points, respectively.

Over at the Chiefs’ side, Jade Talampas top scored with 20 points and seven rebounds but they still fell to a 1-5 card. Lorenz Capulong added a double-double with 10 markers and 11 boards in a losing effort.
