The Lady Altas may have bowed out of title contention but are slowly building the future with Shaila Omipon joining Dapol in the award recipient’s circle with Rookie of the Year honors.

Over at the men’s division, Ramirez, who is currently anchoring the Altas in the men’s volleyball finals against San Beda, won the MVP award with only one win remaining to add an NCAA crown to his closet.

Vince Rey Himzon took home the Rookie of the Year while also being included in the Mythical Team as 1st Best Middle Blocker.

Joining Himzon and Ramirez in the fantasy seven are 1st Best Outside Spiker Barbie San Andres from Mapua, 2nd Best Outside Spiker Joshua Ramirez from Emilio Aguinaldo College, 2nd Best Middle Blocker Jethro Cabillan from Arellano, Best Opposite Spiker Joshua Zareno of the Altas, Best Libero Bhim Lawrence Diones of the Generals and Best Setter Adrian Villados of the Chiefs.

MVP Ramirez and the Altas look to sweep the men’s volleyball season when they take on the Red Lions in Game 2 of the Finals today at 12 pm at San Juan Arena.
