MANILA, Philippines — Arvin Tolentino sizzled for 41 points to power NorthPort over Phoenix, 105-86, on Friday in the PBA On Tour at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Tolentino made seven threes in another impressive display which saw the Batang Pier produce back-to-back victories for a 5-4 record in the exhibition series.
He also had five rebounds, two assists and three steals to continue raising expectations of him being the next main man for NorthPort following Robert Bolick’s departure.
JM Calma also continued his fine form with 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals while Paul Zamar added 14 for the Batang Pier.
NorthPort’s final two opponents in the On Tour are Rain or Shine on July 19 and Converge on July 28.
Phoenix lost its third in a row and six of the last seven after starting the series with a 2-0 record.
The Fuel Masters dropped to 3-6 with their remaining matches against the TNT Tropang Giga on July 19 and Magnolia Hotshots on July 23.
Raul Soyud returned to action after missing the last four games and put up 16 points and six rebounds for Phoenix.
