MANILA, Philippines–Camille Victoria and Ivy Lacsina saved Nxled from a third-set meltdown to shatter Capital1, 25-13, 25-23, 25-22, in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena.

Victoria led the Chameleons with 17 points from 14 attacks and three blocks while Lacsina added 12 points, 11 coming from attacks, to power Nxled to its fourth win in 10 games.

Lumamang yung puso namin.”

Although Nxled was only fighting for improvements with its remaining games, the young Chameleons showed their fighting character and continued to be hungry to get wins.

Down nine points at the start of the decider due to errors, Nxled coach Taka Minowa called a timeout to resuscitate the Chameleons, who were buried facing a 2-11 disadvantage to the Solar Spikers.

And it worked as the Chameleons orchestrated a 10-1 run to tie the game at 12-all behind Victoria who pierced the defense of Capital1 with her scorching offense.

Nxled redeemed itself after being dismantled by the defending champion Creamline in its previous game and it will try to be better as it caps off its campaign against Petro Gazz on Saturday in the same Pasig City venue.

Lacsina punched in three consecutive points, including the game-tying kill off the block, and gave her new squad a two-point lead and the Chameleons refused to let go of the advantage from there.

Victoria moved Nxled to match point with a push before ending the match with an emphatic cross-court kill.
