Natasha Jonas puts her IBF welterweight world title on the line against Mikaela Mayer at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Saturday January 20, live on Sky Sports.
Jonas was a three-belt unified champion at super-welterweight before moving down to 147lbs to win a title in a second division this year.
But she will face a demanding opponent in American star Mayer. Formerly a unified champion at super-featherweight Mayer suffered a bitterly contentious loss to Alycia Baumgardner last year.
Since then she has been looking to work her way back to world championship class and has targeted Jonas as she rose through divisions in 2023.
With Jonas headlining in her hometown and Mayer trying to return to where she always wanted to be, this could be a defining night for the victor.
