MANILA, Philippines—Creamline has given Kyle Negrito a significant amount of trust in the Cool Smashers’ run in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.
On Sunday at Araneta Coliseum, that all paid off as Negrito helped the Cool Smashers reach the conference Finals anew after sweeping Chery Tiggo in the semifinals.
With the first All-Filipino Finals ticket up for grabs, Creamline turned to its seasoned setter to help outlast the Crossovers, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.

“Coach has a lot of patience with me like my teammates do. I’m super thankful for them for not getting tired of guiding me throughout this conference,” said Negrito in Filipino.
“My motivation is them. We told ourselves, this season is for each other so I’m happy that our hard work is resulting in something.”

Negrito set her squad up to the win with 16 excellent sets and six points to match. Her ball distribution allowed spikers Tots Carlos and Alyssa Valdez to deliver with 16 and 10 points, respectively.
Negrito helped brought Creamline back to the PVL’s grandest stage where the team reigned supreme in the last conference after beating Choco Mucho via sweep last year.

“Last conference is done. This season, every match is hard, no team is a walk in the park so we know that it’ll be harder but of course, we’ll fight and work for this.”
The Cool Smashers will either face Petro Gazz or Choco Mucho, who dealt them a loss a few days ago, in the Finals.
