MANILA, Philippines—From the NBA tunnel to the hardwood and the red carpet, Kyle Kuzma is a star in his own right.

The 29-year-old Kuzma is coming off his best season yet for the Washington Wizards and he did it in style–figuratively and literally–with his outlandish pre-game outfits.

Wearing a pink sweater with insanely long sleeves and rocking Rick Owens boots, Kuzma has always made sure to make a statement.

“Truly I love it. I don’t have a stylist, I wear, buy and make a lot of clothes and it’s really, super a hobby for me at this point,” said Kuzma, who is in Manila as part of his Asia tour, on Monday in a press conference in Makati City.

Kuzma’s sense for fashion has certainly not gone unnoticed being labeled as one of the most stylish players in the league.

In fact, Kuzma was ranked 10th in the Top 15 Best-Dressed NBA Players of All-Time by Leaguefits, a renowned social media account–with a million followers on Instagram–dedicated to style and fashion in the NBA.

Art is a form of expression and he gets to show who he really is with how he presents himself through clothing. And that creativity manifested way back when he was still a kid.

“I’ve always been interested in art and that started as a kid. I used to draw as a kid, a lot in elementary. I always had a notebook with drawings of animè characters like Dragon Ball Z, certain landscapes and houses, and so on,” said Kuzma, who played his first four seasons in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Naturally, being that way as a kid made me who I am today with how much I love actual art with clothing and fashion and that’s art as well.”
