MANILA, Philippines—Team Philippines rower Joanie Delgaco struggled to keep up with the rest of the field as her medal campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024 came to an end on Tuesday (Manila time).

Delgaco crossed the finish line last with a time of 7:58.30, which was 24 seconds slower than the last semifinal qualifier at Nautica St – Flat Water.

New Zealand’s Emma Twigg topped the quarterfinal round, clocking 7:26.89 while Sweden’s Aurelia-Maxima Janzen (7:31.12), and Spain’s Virginia Rivas Diaz (7:34.01).

The 26-year-old Delgaco failed to advance on opening day but earned another shot after ruling the repechage.

Although Delgaco is out of the medal race, she is still set to compete in the classification round on Wednesday.

Delgaco takes on the classification race on Wednesday, according to the Paris Olympic website.
