“We’re happy because that’s what we wanted—to place eighth. In my nine years with CDC, I’ve never finished in eighth. I was always fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh, but never eighth. Maybe God granted our wish this time,” said FEU Cheering squad coach Randell San Gregorio.

Ateneo Blue Eagles will open the competition, followed by the University of the East Pep Squad and eight-time champion University of Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe.

San Gregorio expressed confidence in his squad’s experience in his team’s pursuit of a fifth Cheerdance title.

“They already know what it feels like to step onto the mats, and that should give them confidence. But other than that, it’s a new team and new theme every year. We don’t repeat. Probably the best thing they can bring to the competition is that they’ve already competed beforel,” said San Gregorio.
