MANILA, Philippines—Dwight Ramos made a significant impact in Levanga Hokkaido’s 75-66 win over the Yokohama B. Corsairs in the 2024-25 season of the Japan B.League at Hokkai Kita-Yale on Saturday.

Ramos made the most of his 14 minutes of play, ending with nine points and two assists while staying efficient on the floor with a 66.7 percent shooting clip (4-of-6).

However, it was Ryan Kriener who did the heavy lifting for Levanga with 30 points and nine rebounds to help push Hokkaido to a 3-7 card.

Unfortunately, a win wasn’t on the card for Ramos’ Gilas Pilipinas cohort Kai Sotto.

Sotto’s Koshigaya Alphas fell victim to the Sunrocker Shibuya, 84-71, at Koshigaya City Gymnasium.

The Gilas big man went blank from the field after three tries and only ended up with a point to go along with six rebounds and two assists.

LJ Peak and Jeff Gibbs scored 19 points each but it still wasn’t enough to give the Alphas the win as they dropped to a 1-9 card.

Ray Parks Jr., meanwhile, had his efforts go down the drain in Osaka Evessa’s 96-79 loss to the Ryukyu Golden Kings at Ookini Arena Maishima.

Parks Jr. recorded 16 points, two assists and two rebounds built on a 45.5 percent shooting clip but to no avail as Evessa dropped to a 6-4 record.

AJ Edu, on the other hand, helped Nagasaki Velca defeat the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, 87-68, at Happiness Arena.

Edu tallied six points, seven rebounds, three blocks and a steal to help Velca improve to 6-4.

Geo Chiu, unfortunately, didn’t leave Saturday with a win as his Ehime Orange Vikings fell to Altiri Chiba, 98-78, at Matsuyama Community Center.

Chiu had struggles of his own, sinking just one of his three tries from the field for three points, five rebounds, a steal and a block for the 1-9 Orange Vikings.
