MANILA, Philippines—Terrence Hill was crowned the Ato Balodato Most Outstanding Player of the 2024 NBTC National Finals.

Hill won the award after leading Fil-Am Nation to the championship in the NBTC National Finals Division 1.

In Sunday’s finale, Hill collected 12 points, four rebounds and five assists. He scored half of his points in the final frame.

“T, the whole tournament, to me, was our anchor. He was the most mature and composed when we needed him to be. I told him from the very first day, ‘you’ll lead this team,’” said coach Chris Gavina after his squad’s 79-71 win over Adamson at Mall of Asia Arena.

“I named him captain because I already knew what I needed to see from him.”

Before the title-winning game, the swingman registered 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the semifinals to power the Filipino-Americans to an 81-72 victory over Batang Tiaong on Friday.

Overall, Hill averaged 17.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4 assists per game, helping Select-USA sweep the annual week-long competition showcasing the best players of the country aged under 19 years old.

Hill has already committed to Utah State University, which competes in the US NCAA Division I, as per Gavina.

“Utah State’s getting a great player next year. I think they’re in the March Madness this year and I can’t wait to see what he’s going to accomplish for that program.”
